Getting involved in committee work is an excellent way to enhance your chamber
membership. Find a committee that interests you and get involved! To find out more

The goal of the Ambassador Committee is to promote new membership. As an
active member you have an opportunity for a personal contact with new
members and businesses. Our members are the backbone of the Chamber. This
committee looks at ways to enhance member's benefits and investigate ways
members can get the most from their membership.

Government Affairs
Contact Chamber Office
The Government Affairs Committee disseminates information on
legislative issues relevant to our membership and community
for educational awareness and when appropriate takes
recommended action. Local and statewide issues are discussed
at the monthly meetings. On occasion, a guest speaker will
provide updates on current legislative issues. The
Government Affairs Committee helps the Chamber be the “voice
of business” in the Woodridge Area. This committee is currently on hiatus;

Marketing & Branding
Contact Chamber Office
The purpose of the Marketing and Branding Committee is to
develop and implement strategies that effectively market
Chamber events and services, while maintaining integrity in
the Woodridge Chamber brand. This is an ad-hoc committee that
is active only when a project is to be completed.
Not-for-Profit Network
Chair:
Barbara Schmith, West Suburban Community Pantry
The Not-for-Profit Network, a joint committee of the Woodridge and Lisle Area Chambers of Commerce, provides educational,
networking, and resourcing opportunities for its members, with particular emphasis on the unique needs of the not-for-profit
sector. Meetings are held bi-monthly on the third Monday of the month at alternating locations in Woodridge and Lisle.
Programming
Chair:
Mike Krucek, Investment & Insurance Advisor
The Programming Committee develops the educational portion of Chamber offerings by
identifying relevant topics/speakers for the monthly General Membership Meetings as
well as developing seminars and workshops that are of interest to our business community.
It also coordinates sponsors for these events. In addition, the Programming Committee
is responsible for organizing our annual Chamber Scholarship program. Meetings are held
the second Tuesday of each month at different member restaurants in town.
Seven Bridges
Chair:
Josh Eckstein, Buffalo Wild Wings
The focus of this committee is to provide marketing opportunities, events, and promotions for the businesses
located in the Seven Bridges development. The goal is to make Seven Bridges a destination spot for shopping,
dining, entertainment and services for residents of Woodridge and the surrounding communities. Meetings are
held the third Wednesday of each month in Seven Bridges.
Women in Business
Chair:
Fran Strohm, Strohm Consulting
The Woodridge Area Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Committee provides programs and opportunities in leadership,
development, mentoring, education and networking for women in business. Our events include exceptional speakers
covering a broad range of topics that affect women in business and provide excellent networking opportunities in a
small group environment. Meetings are held the second Friday of the month at the Chamber office.

Various Special Events
Contact Chamber Office
A number of committees are formed throughout the year for some of the Chamber’s larger fundraising events such as the
Casino Night, 10-Mile/5K/1-Mile Race, Golf Outing, Business Expo, Savor the Flavor, and Holiday Party. Responsibilities
typically include, among other things, planning activities, soliciting sponsors, coordinating publicity, and working to
ensure a successful fundraiser for the Chamber.
