Government Affairs
The Government Affairs Committee is an extension of the
Chamber ensuring that the needs of members and their
views on important issues are communicated to local,
regional, state, and national officials. While in its
infancy, it is the goal of the committee to position the
Chamber as a strong, united voice on legislative issues.
- Educate Chamber members on
important legislative issues in a timely,
comprehensive fashion
- Empower Chamber members with
the confidence to speak on legislative issues as
experts
- Enable Chamber members to
mobilize quickly in times of a legislative emergency
- Engage Community stakeholders
on issues affecting the business community
Staying in-tune with local, state and Federal
legislation is imperative to the future of
business owners and our community. The
Government Affairs Committee is the Chamber
information resource keeping you informed on
issues you deem important.

Use Your Voice and Reach Out
Legislators and elected officials regularly ask to be
contacted by their constituents to assist them in making
informed decisions. Whether you have a question about
legislation, or have a specific viewpoint – they want to
know. Many times it’s as easy as sending an email,
leaving a voicemail, or talking to a member of their
staff.
