2007 Chamber
Business of the Year Chamber's Business of the Year 2007 Carraba's Italian Grill
Whether participating in the Taste of the Chamber, providing food for the volunteers at the Seven Bridges Season Starters or donating food to our Member Appreciation Picnic, we know we can count on their support. Their trailer is noticed all over Woodridge as they prepare food for many of our non-profit organizations' fundraisers. They've been known to open up for lunch for us. While you may not notice Gary Richards walking around all these events, you can't help but notice the unmistakable aroma coming from his grill. As one of the many businesses that have helped make Woodridge one of the top 100 cities in the United States, we are happy to name Carrabba's Italian Grill as the recipient of the 2007 Woodridge Area Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Award. 2007 William F. Murphy Excellence Award Rich Moore
This individual will encompass traits that are the foundation of the award: wisdom, trustworthiness, care, consideration, dedication, and commitment. He or she is a steward, a mentor, a leader, a builder and champion of others, in service to others. This year's recipient was nominated by several individuals. He is active in service organization, and supports with donations Woodridge events such as the Taste of the Chamber, Chamber Member Appreciation Picnic, Woodridge Cultural Fest, Back to School Bash, Agents for Change, and Woodridge Jubilee. He has helped to sponsor the annual Cabaret Fundraiser for the Woodridge Community Pantry. He rarely says "no" when asked for help. He gives not only financial support to the community, but volunteers his time as well. As President of the Rotary Club of Woodridge, he ran the rotary auction and mini-triathlon. He provides a place for the Woodridge Jaycees to meet, as well as holds three of their fundraisers each year - two pancake breakfasts and Chili for Children. At his restaurant, he ran a benefit for Wendy Dougherty, a cancer patient. We are pleased to announce Rich Moore as this year's recipient of the William F. Murphy Excellence Award. |
